Holiday Celebrations

October 27, 2020White River Valley AmbulanceCoronavirusCOVID-19

While most of us enjoyed the downtime of summer, relaxing with our family, traveling safely for vacation, or just camping out in our back yard, the Covid Pandemic was still looming.  As we are coming into the holiday season, it is very important to remember how to keep ourselves, those we love, and those we interact with safe.

Wearing masks, keeping a safe 6 foot distance from others outside our home, washing our hands, and staying home if we are sick or believe we have been exposed to someone with Covid is still incredibly important.  While no one likes to hear “the new normal”, it is a reality of our world right now. We must strive to do our best to keep each other safe, keep medical facilities from being overwhelmed, and making sure we all see each other on the other side of this.

The holidays are coming, and while they may not look like they did last year, they can still be memorable. Thankfully, we live in a world where virtual visits are possible. Keep in touch with everyone you can, send pictures of your own festive activities at home, create community decorating competitions, set up virtual movie nights, game nights, perhaps just create a schedule to say hello. Create new traditions with your family and friends.
